Kate, Princess of Wales, and Prince William took their children on a royal day out to an airshow as they toured the Royal International Air Tattoo.

Royal fans gushed over the three youngsters as Prince George, who will turn 10 on July 22, along with his siblings Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, charmed the public, having broken up for summer holidays at Lambrook School in Berkshire.

William and Kate arrived at the air show held at RAF Fairford in Gloucestershire with the young royals in light spirits and were warmly welcomed by Wing Commander Will Essex.

However, royal fans were taken aback by young George’s height, with many remembering the last time the youngster visited the Royal International Air Tattoo in 2016.

George was only two years old on his first royal engagement and he famously broke down in a loud tantrum before meeting the assembled pilots.

Twitter users noted the change: “I can’t get over how mature and confident Prince George is getting. He’s turning into a fine young man.”

Another added: “How time flies so fast, and you can see Prince George of Wales is getting so tall.”

Some royal fans marvelled at how quickly the young royals are growing up as George will soon turn 10.

One Twitter user wrote: “Can hardly believe how tall Prince George is.”

While another added: “Going to be fun watching Prince Louis grow up.”

A third wrote: “It’s amazing how we the public have the privilege of watching these gorgeous children grow up.”

Another Twitter user wrote: “In a short time we will see Prince George surpassing his mom Catherine, the same way William did with Diana.”

The first stop for the family of five was a massive C-17 transporter aircraft, which had previously been used to carry the late Queen Elizabeth’s coffin in the days leading up to her funeral in September of last year.

The young royals were dressed in comfortable, summery clothing, and George and Charlotte curiously surveyed the rain-drenched pavement surrounding the enormous plane as they enjoyed their tour.
