Machete-wielding madmen storm chicken shop to slash diners sparking exodus

A gang armed with machetes stormed into a chicken shop injuring two diners as others dashed for safety.

One customer desperately attempted to crawl to safety under the counter, but the North London group chased him down to continue their slashing attack.

In a state of panic CCTV showed the victim curled up into a ball as the men stamped on his head in the eatery on West Green Road, Tottenham last Sunday, May 21.

Surviving the onslaught, footage captured the victim staggering away with a badly torn trouser leg, courtesy of a machete blow.

A pair of frightened employees hastily fled the building.

Police arrived at 9.15pm and two young men aged 20 and 17 were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police were called at about 21:15hrs on Sunday, 14 May, to reports of a stabbing on West Green Road, N15.

"Officers attended and found a 20-year-old man [Victim 1] injured. He was taken to hospital by the London Ambulance Service; we await an update on his condition.

"A knife was recovered at the scene. A second male, aged 17 [Victim 2], was found with a stab injury. He has also been taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Officers remain in the area.

"Anyone with information is asked to call police via 101 quoting reference CAD 6997/14May."

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the incident.
