A colourful time capsule house up for sale will transport its future owner back to 1961.
The £185,000 wooden framed bungalow was built as a dream home by Mr Wright who looked to Swedish design to create something radical for the time.
Clad with cedar on the outside and lined with bright carpets on the inside, the house in a village overlooking the North Yorkshire Moors, has hardly been touched since
For the first time since its construction at the hands of Mr Wright 50 years ago, the unique self built Colt Home has just gone on to the property market.
Stepping inside is like a trip back in time because the High Stanghow property has remained largely untouched since 1961. It comes complete with fixtures and fittings resplendent of the era from an avocado coloured bathroom suite to orange and green carpets and retro wall lights.
Named The Cedars, the four bedroomed, two bathroomed quirky house also has spectacular views thanks to its location on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

It is on the market for £185k and is being sold by estate agent Leapfrog Lettings and Sales, TeessideLive reports.
"The house is a first time on the market, having been built by the seller back in the early 1960s and granted, it does need some work, regardless of whether you love a 1960s decorating scheme," says the property information.
"Of course, that means the house is down as a renovation project, possibly even something to extend and rework if you get the relevant permissions.

"Personally, we would keep much of what is here in place, depending on the current condition and we think the design has aged well and with the right amount of updating, this could easily be a 1960s house for the 21st century.
"Even allowing for that, this amazing ‘retro’ property was designed with great style and panache and no doubt, was built for it’s location."

Inside, there's an L-shaped living room with picture windows looking out over open countryside, timber cladded internal walls, original features and doors, a 1960s style fitted kitchen/diner, two 1960s ‘Avocado' and 'Whisper Pink’ bathrooms with his and her vanity areas and corner bath plus a full length master bedroom with mirrored bedroom furniture, retro light fittings and all the retro decor you could possibly want.
"It’s your dream time capsule," says the estate agent.
