Horror road rage incident sees woman dragged from car and beaten by biker gang

2 min read

A woman is being held without bail in Rhode Island after a sickening road rage assault in which a female motorist was dragged from her car and brutally beaten by a mob of dirt bike riders.

Police arrested Shyanne Boisvert, 24, of North Providence on Thursday night in connection with the horrifying incident on Tuesday, August 3.

According to a police report, Boisvert was one of several people on dirt bikes and quad bikes stopped at a traffic light in Providence, Rhode Island.

After the group of bikers failed to move on after the lights had cycled through red and green twice, a woman stuck behind them honked her horn.

The bikers then surrounded the victim’s car, dragged her out of the vehicle and proceeded to violently assault her before making off on foot.

The woman’s 8-year-old child and a puppy were reportedly inside the car during the attack.

The incident was captured on a mobile phone video, but Boisvert herself reported to Cranston Police headquarters in a bid to pick up one of the blokes abandoned at the scene.

Officers told Boisvert that she had violated her probation and that there was an outstanding warrant for her in Providence. She was then held so that detectives investigating the assault could be called.

“We had an awful incident in our city last night that left a young woman shaken and injured,” said Providence Mayor Jorge O. Elorza. “We will continue to dedicate all our available resources to getting these illegal ATVs off our streets and to bring those responsible to justice.
