Denver will have a hot start to the week with temperatures in the mid to high 90s. Some moisture will move into the area later in the week and into the weekend, but most of the week should be clear with sunny skies.
According to the National Weather Service in Boulder, Denver will top at 94 degrees with sunny skies on Monday. Winds could gust to 17 mph and there’s a 10% chance of showers in the afternoon. The evening will be clear, dropping to 65 degrees. There’s no rain forecast for burn areas and the flood threat is minimal to begin the week.
There’s another air quality alert for Monday, encompassing much of the metro area.
Tuesday will also be hot, with a high of 95 degrees. There’s a 10% chance of rain in the afternoon with a low of 66 degrees.
Wednesday will be the hottest day of the week, with a high of 97 degrees. Thunderstorms could pop up in the afternoon with a 20% chance of showers. The low will be 68 degrees.
There will be more moisture beginning Thursday, and the chance of storms will peak over the weekend.
