A UK ticketholder has made a claim for Friday night's whopping £111,540,000 EuroMillions jackpot.
The results were announced late on Friday evening and Camelot has now said the verification process will begin following the claim.
No information on whether an individual or syndicate has won, or where the ticket was purchased, will be made public unless the ticket-holder decides to do so.
Camelot’s Andy Carter, senior winners’ adviser at the National Lottery, said: “What sensational news on a sunny summer weekend for one lucky EuroMillions player.
“They have instantly become the ninth biggest winner in UK National Lottery history and have a fortune which can make their dreams come true.
“We will now look to support the ticket-holder through the process and help them to start to enjoy their life-changing win.”
It is the fourth UK EuroMillions jackpot winner this year after two jackpots were won in April and another in the draw on New Year's Day.
If successful, the claimant will become the UK's 9th richest National Lottery winner ever.
Britain's highest-ever winner claimed a jackpot of £170 million in October 2019, but chose to stay anonymous.
The record for the highest amount ever won in the Euromillions was set in February of this year, where a Swiss player took home 210 million euros, the equivalent of almost £180 million.
According to The Sunday Times Rich List 2021, Friday night’s (4 June) lucky winner can now consider themselves richer than Watermelon Sugar singer and former One Direction member, Harry Styles (reportedly worth £75M), and One Kiss singer, Dua Lipa (worth £20M), combined.
April proved to be a lucky month for UK EuroMillions players, as the £122.5M win was followed by a £59M win from the draw on 20 April.
The winning EuroMillions numbers were 07, 20, 36, 40, 46 and the winning Lucky Star numbers were 02 and 04.
