Amazon delivery van carjacked in Jefferson County

An Amazon delivery van was carjacked Monday morning on a snow-covered street in Jefferson County and investigators are looking for the robbers.

The incident happened at about 10:15 a.m. in the 5000 block of West Rowland Place, in the Columbine Knolls area, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office. The robber brandished a weapon. The driver was not injured.

A short time after the carjacking, witnesses saw two men unloading packages from the Amazon van into a pickup truck in the area of South Depew Street and West Plymouth Drive, according to a news release. The pickup truck is described as a dark gray four-door Ford F150 pickup with a black cover over the truck bed.

The delivery van has been located. Authorities are looking for the suspects and the Ford pickup.
