Five people including four children have been stabbed to death in a horror knife attack which also left five more injured.
The horrific attack took place in Noisy-le-Sec in the eastern suburbs of Paris, France, on Saturday, October 3, with local reports suggesting a knife and a hammer were used.
Emergency services arrived on the scene around 11am with two victims declared dead upon their arrival.
Three more victims were then declared dead around 12.30pm.
The alleged perpetrator was taken to Beaujon Hospital for treatment, and is reported to also be seriously injured.
Police officers from the Departmental Judicial Police Service (SDPJ) have set up a cordon around the premises and a prosecutor is also said to be at the scene.
A bloodied youngster is said to have gone to a nearby bar to ask for help, telling the manager of the establishment that his uncle had "gone wild and attacked with a knife and a hammer" the rest of his family.
