Prince Harry distanced from nephew Louis amid Prince William ‘feud’, says expert

Prince Harry has grown distant from his young nephew Prince Louis due to alleged tensions between him and Prince William, according to royal experts.

The alleged feud between the two brothers caused Harry to spend less time with his little nephew, reports Express.

In the bombshell biography, Finding Freedom, author Omid Scobie claims the Duke of Sussex stopped visiting the Cambridges frequently in 2017.

Reports of tensions between William and Harry have been circulating for many months, however the brothers have not spoken out explicitly.

Young Prince Louis was born in 2018 and by then the brothers' relationship had turned sour, causing Harry to become distant.

Although, the royal experts claim before 2018, the Duke of Sussex “had always loved popping across the grounds” of Kensington Palace to see them and their children Charlotte and George.

They added: “The brothers went from always making time for each other to barely spending any time together.

“In fact, Harry spent less time with Prince Louis than the others because of the growing tension between him and his brother after the baby's birth.”

Prince Harry had lived “just a few doors down” from William and Kate’s Kensington Palace home, the authors added.

However, he and Meghan Markle moved to Frogmore Cottage in 2019.

The Finding Freedom authors claim tensions between William and Harry were sparked by the latter’s relationship with Meghan.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have since stepped down from their roles as senior royals and left the UK altogether.

They are currently living in the Californian region of Santa Barbara in the US having spent some time this year in Los Angeles.

Last month, it was claimed Harry and William did not speak to one another for months after it was announced the Sussexes would be stepping down from their roles.

Harry and Meghan announced their decision in January, stating they intended to “live a more independent life as a family, by removing the supposed ‘public interest’ justification for media intrusion into their lives.”

Omid Scobie said Prince William was “hurt” by the fact Harry and Meghan went public with the announcement.

He added “there was a lot of hurt there that continues to this day,” and said “that’s really going to take some time to heal.”

Harry and Meghan have since begun building new lives in the US, recently announcing a new deal with streaming service Netflix.

It will see the Duke and Duchess of Sussex produce their own shows, including documentaries, for the platform.

Prince Harry and Prince William recently issued a joint statement regarding a planned statue of their late mother Princess Diana.

The statue is due to be put up on July 1 2021 in the Sunken Garden of Kensington Palace.

The joint statement read: “The Princes hope that the statue will help all those who visit Kensington Palace to reflect on their mother’s life and her legacy.”
