A man has raised hundreds of pounds for charity after guzzling the entire Five Guys menu in an astonishing one hour.

Competitive eater Kyle Gibson munched through eight burgers, four hot dogs, two portions of fries, two veggie sandwiches, a grilled cheese sandwich, a BLT, two milkshakes and a two refill drinks

The belt busting amount of food was consumed in an incredible 61 minutes – and was far beyond the daily recommended amount of calories, clocking up 13,000 in total.

While the nauseating amount of food may give readers meat sweats just at the thought, the daring feat was all in aid of a good cause as the 22-year-old, from Sunderland, raised £400 for the Newcastle West End Foodbank.

Speaking to Chronicle Live, Kyle revealed: "The challenge was to eat the entire menu at Five Guys and I did it.

“It took me just under 61 minutes and it was not easy.

“It was a bit of a struggle but I managed to get through it."

It’s not the first time Kyle has packed away an impressive amount of food – as he also runs a YouTube channel called Kyle v Food where he records his extreme dining adventures.

He explained: "I love doing crazy stuff like this but I do realise that there are people out there who really can't afford food, who are in bad situations and generally need help and rely on places like foodbanks in order to feed their families.

"This is why I'm donating money and food to the Newcastle West End Foodbank."

The professional competitive eater – who is ranked number one in the British Eating League – said he ensures he does lots of exercise and follows a sensitive diet when he is not binge eating outrageous plates.

He said: "Six days a week, I have a healthy diet including fruit and vegetables, and I get plenty of exercise.

"Before the lockdown, I used to go the gym every single day and when the restrictions were put in place I still exercised at home.

"I do take part in contests like this but I make sure I keep myself healthy during the other days of the week."
